When I was a kid, I loved taking photographs. My father gave me a small box camera using 126 film cartridges. It was the beginning of a lifetime love affair with photography. When I turned 16, I got my first 35mm SLR -- a Minolta XG-1. I would go out and shoot 4 or 5 rolls of film then take them to be developed at the local photo processing shop and wait. It always seemed like forever waiting...and not very patiently.... Wondering if the exposure was correct or did I focus it just right. Needless to say, at 16, it wasn't always perfect.
Fast forward to today. Technology has changed but the art of capturing life hasn't. I strive to capture life as it happens... not how it gets shaped in editing. Getting it right the first time because there is no second chances.
